Comment by Florin Isvoranu on November 4, 2011 at 9:39 Hi Brouillard,
in our workshop the participants will be challenged to design a freeform surface as a seating/lounge area, then approximate the surface with developable strips using EvoluteTools. The developable strip geometry will be used to form Corian sheets into the required shape. The final assembly will be an approximation of the initially designed freeform surface, built in Corian. The forming will be done at the CuttingEdge workshop, where participants will get some hands-on experience in processing and forming Corian sheets. Attendants will receive fully functional licenses of EvoluteTools v1.2 for one month, so they can explore the capabilities of the software.
Advanced Rhino skills are welcome but not at all a requirement, from our point of view it is more important for the participants to develop new skills and learn new things. Basic Rhino modeling skills are just enough.
We would love to have you onboard, please let us know if you have more questions.
